A superb 1979 Marshall 1960A angled 4×12 speaker cabinet, recently refurbished in striking red tolex and retaining its matching quad of vintage Marshall-branded Celestion G12-65 speakers, all fitted with their original 444 cones.

The cabinet combines the unmistakable sound of late-'70s Celestions with a freshly restored exterior, using genuine OEM Marshall replacement parts throughout.

The result is a fantastic-looking vintage cabinet that retains its original speaker configuration while presenting exceptionally well cosmetically.

Original Celestion G12-65 Speakers

The cabinet is loaded with four Marshall-branded Celestion G12-65 T3101 speakers, each rated at 65 watts and 16 ohms.

All four speakers carry matching LM16 date codes, identifying their manufacture as 16th November 1979, and retain their original 444 cones.

The G12-65 became one of Marshall's most highly regarded speakers during the late 1970s and early 1980s, offering greater power handling and a smoother response than the earlier G12M Greenbacks.

These speakers are known for their warm, rounded midrange, controlled low frequencies and smooth high-end response. They retain plenty of classic Celestion character while offering excellent clarity and definition when paired with powerful valve amplifiers.

The combination of four G12-65s makes this cabinet particularly well suited to vintage JMP and early JCM800 heads, delivering a substantial, authoritative sound without becoming overly bright or aggressive.

The cabinet has just undergone a comprehensive cosmetic refurbishment, retaining the original enclosure and speaker set while replacing worn exterior components.
