The Marshall Lead 12 (Model 5005) is one of the most beloved small solid-state amps Marshall ever made. This 1983 example delivers 12 watts of classic Marshall crunch in a compact 1×10 combo, making it perfect for practice, recording, or even small gigs.
Despite its size, the Lead 12 earned a cult following for its touch-sensitive overdrive, responsive EQ, and unmistakably “Marshall” character. Many players, including Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, famously used these amps in the studio for their raw, tube-like grit.
Built in the UK during the early ’80s, the Model 5005 is rugged, reliable, and dripping with vintage mojo—an affordable piece of Marshall history with tone that punches way above its weight.
