Condition

There are some minor signs of use and age, as you would expect from a cabinet approaching 40 years old, but overall it presents extremely well.

The Electro-Voice Black Shadow speaker is a particularly desirable feature, offering exceptional power handling and the distinctive tonal characteristics associated with these classic Mesa/Boogie cabinets.

Tone & Performance

The Electro-Voice Black Shadow EVM is widely regarded as one of the finest high-power guitar speakers ever produced.

Unlike traditional British-style guitar speakers, which often introduce their own characteristic breakup and compression, the EVM is designed to deliver exceptional clarity, efficiency and headroom.

The result is a powerful, articulate sound with tight, controlled bass, rich midrange detail and excellent note separation, even when driven by high-powered valve amplifiers.

Its 200-watt power handling makes it an excellent choice for players looking for a speaker that faithfully reproduces the character of their amplifier without excessive speaker distortion.

The open-back cabinet design provides a spacious, room-filling sound, making it particularly well suited to blues, classic rock, hard rock and high-gain applications.
